For JAMBO members, the cost is 2,000 yen  for men and 1500 yen for women w/reservation (or plus 500 yen if you go directly without making a reservation).  Foreigners get at 500 yen discount.  This includes  1 drink  & buffet dinner included!

Reservations can be made with David by e-mail by May 12.

Half of your admission fee will be donated to Plant with Purpose.   So you can have an enjoyable evening and help a good cause at the same time. If you’d like to go with David, please meet at Exit 3 of  Kamiyacho Station’s Hibiya Line at 6:30PM on the 13th.

Acupressure (Shiatsu) Trial with LVC

Time and Place: 19:00 – 21:00 at Jambo School (Map)

Program: 19:00 – 20:00 – Shiatsu with LVC Member Kayoko Chikugo. There will be a shiatsu demonstration from the neck, shoulders, and down the back to the waist. After the demonstration, people will do it in groups of two on chairs.

English and Japanese will be used.

Please bring 2 towels

20:00 – 21-00 –  Informal get-together (Please bring snacks and drinks to enjoy during this time.)

Itsukaichi Double Hike

 

Part 1 – Natural Treasures Course

Metting Place/Time: MusashiItsukaichi Station ticket gate at 8:50AM

Take the 7:44 Special Holiday Express (Akigawa 3) going towards MusashiItsukaichi (BE SURE TO GET ON THE RIGHT SECTION, since part of the train goes to Okutama) from Shinjuku (Platform 11). This arrives at MusashiItsukaichi at 8:48

David will get on the front car of this train at Nakano Station for those who want to ride together.

Course: MusashiItsukaichi Station – Sajikami Shrine Weeping Acacia (Natural Treasure)ー  Saifukuji Temple –  Ookuno Fuji Wisteria (Natural Treasure) – MusashiItsukaichi Station 2.5 Hours

Part 2 – Mountain and River Hike

Meet at the ticket gate of Higashi-akiru Station (on the JRItsukaichi Line) at 11:45AM.

From Shinjuku, take the Chuo Line (Express going towards Oume) at 10:37 , arriving at Oume Station at 11:24AM.  Change to the 11:32 JR Itsukaichi Line train. It arrives at Higashi-akiru Station at 11:37.

The early group’s train will arrive there (from the opposite direction) at 11:44.

Course: Higashi-akiru Station – Mt. Daichou Hiking Course – Tamagawa River – Fussa Station

Walking Time: about 4 hours

Kanagawa Flower Hike

2 Flower Hot Spots & Mt. Oogusu Hiking!

(¥1000 Participation Fee + 310 yen for Shoubuen Entrance Fee)

(Bring your own food and drink for the hike)

We will meet at the ticket gate of Kinugasa Station at 9:55AM. From Shinbashi, take the 8:39 JR Yokosuka Line train (going towards Kurihama). This arrives at Kinugasa Station at 9:54.

If you want to ride with David and others, please get on the front car of the 8:39 Yokosuka Line train at Shinbashi or any station thereafter.

Hiking Course: Kinugasa Station – Shoubuen (Wisteria Festival) – Mt. Oogusu – Shounan International Village (Azaleas) – Koyasu no Sato Park  – Akiya TateIshi Coastline – Zushi Station (by bus or on foot)

The hike itself is about 5 hours.

Chichibu Hiking and Azalea Festival!

(1000 Yen Participation Fee + 200 Yen  Entrance Fee for the Azalea Festival)

Please bring your own food and drink.

We will meet at the ticket gate of Ogose at 10:15AM. From Ikebukuro, take the Tobu Tojo Line’s Express Train at 9:10 and change at Sakado (arriving here at 9:54) to the Tobu Ogose Line. Take the 9:56AM Tobu Ogose Line train to Ogose Station.  It arrives there at 10:14AM.

If you’d like to go together from Ikebukuro, get on the front of the 9:10 Tobu Tojo Line train from there.

COURSE: Ogose Station – Ogose YuPark – Satoyama Observation Point – Mt. Ootakatori – Ogose Nature Centre (Optional) – Godaison Azalea Park Festival – Ogose Station

River Garbage Pick-up & Picnic!

 

Meeting Place and Time: The ticket gate of Funabori Station (Toei Shinjuku Line) at 9:30AM

SCHEDULE

9:30AM – Meet at Funabori Station (Toei Shinjuku Line) ticket gate

10:00 – 12:30 – Do a Garbage Clean-up on the Arakawa River (about a 30 minute walk from the station)(Please bring work gloves if you have them)

12:30 – 13:30 – Walk to the picnic place

13:30 – 14:30 – Picnic in Oojima Komatsugawa Park

Please bring food and drinks!

Do something good for the environment and join the garbage pick-up.

Kawasaki Area Walk and Home Party

 

Meeting Place and Time: Shinkawasaki (JR Shounan Shinjuku Line and JR Yokosuka Line) ticket gate at 11:05 AM

Course (about 3 hours walking time): Shinkawasaki Station – YumemigaSaki Animal Park – Mitsuike Park – Saiwai Furusato Park – Soutoku Temple  – Tsurumi Sta. – American Style Home Party (Bring food and drink, which can be bought at the end of the walk)

Chichibu SPECIAL – Mountain Flower Road and Multi-colored grass Hiking

(Participation Fee 1000 yen + 300 yen (Hitsuji Park Entrance))

Meeting Time & Place: 8:37AM at Ashigakubo Station’s ticket gate or 12:00 noon at Yokose Station’s ticket gate

Take the Seibu Ikebukuro Line Express train from Ikebukuro Station at 7:05AM.  This arrives at Ashigakubo at 8:35AM.

For late comers, take the Seibu Ikebukuro Line Express train from Ikebukuro Station at 10:20AM.  This arrives at Hanno Station (the final destination) at 11:08AM.  Change here to the Seibu Chichibu Line (which leaves at 11:14) and get off at Yokose Station (arriving at 11:57).

For early comers, meet on the front of the 7:05 train at Ikebukuro if you want to go from there.

Hiking Course:  Ashigakubo Station – Mountain Flower Road – Mt. Hinata – Yokose Station – Hitsujiyama Park – Chichibu Station

The total walking time is about 6 hours.

Please bring your lunch and drink.

Meeting: Suruga-Oyama Station Ticket Gate 9:53

Train: Shinjuku (Odakyu line train going to Odawara) 7:51 – Shinmatsuda (arrives at 9:14) –   Matsuda Station (JR Gotemba Line – leaves at 9:28) –  Suruga-Oyama Station – 9:50 arrival

Please be sure to get on the right train, since we can’t wait for the next one.  You can get on the front car at Shinjuku Station to ride with others at 7:51. David will get on from Shin Yurigaoka.

Course:

Suruga-Oyama station – Furounotaki waterfall – Furou-yama – Tani-ga-yama – Suruga-Oyama station.
