Edogawa River Clean Up

Organized by Tokyo River Friends

Gather at Myoden Station: 14:30
Riverside Meetup: 15:00
Return to station: 18:30

RIVER CLEAN UP:
Gather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate, and
then go to the Edogawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about
3.5 to 4 hours.

INFO:
If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location between
the Bay front bridges and the New Myoden Bridge. From the station, walk
to the new Myoden Bridge, cross the river, and then along the river bank
until between the two bridges and look for us at the water line. Also
call James’ (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any
problems finding us.

RAIN:
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as
we will move to and from the river by car and we can clean up under
cover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent areas using
rain ware. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon
conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.

Akigawa Hiking & Swimming

Today’s hike & swim is on. In the area we go to, light rain is not expected until 6〜8 pm.

(1000 yen Participation Fee) (Not Difficult) (Cancelled in case of rain)

Meeting place and time: 10:40 am at the ticket gate of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station (the last stop of the Itsukaichi Line)

Train: Haijima Departure (JR Itsukaichi Line) – 10:20, Musashi-Itsukaichi (the last stop) Arrival – 10:37

Course: Musashi-Itsukaichi Station – Mt. Konpira – hoshitake Line
 – Akigawa River (we will swim and play along the river as we walk
back to the station (along road and river) – Musashi-Itsukaichi Station

Walking Time: About 4 hours

Bring lunch and drinks and your swimsuit if you want to swim.

Tokyo Station Underground Mall Walk

((Easy) (¥1000 Participation Fee) (Cancelled in case of heavy rain)
The length of underground mall around Tokyo Station is as long as 18km. We can walk without sweating.

☆Meeting Time/Place: Tokyo Metro Otemachi Station Sankei-mae Crossing DirectionTicket Gate 10:30 am

☆Course: Otemachi Station – Tokyo Station – Yurakucho Station – Ginza Station – Higashi Ginza Station

Walking Time: About half an hour (2km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take about 2 hours.

Gather at DAISHIBASHI Station (Keikyudashi Line) outside the
only
ticket gate at 14:00, and then go to the Tamagawa River and pick
up
trash along the banks for about 3-3.5 hours with a break in the 
middle.

WHAT TO BRING
Wear old clothing that you do not mind getting dirty, and please wear
long pants. Bare legs are not recommended because they can easily
get
cut from objects like cut river reeds. Also, a hat is recommended,
especially during the summer months, and please bring lots of liquids
to
drink. Bringing gloves is also recommended but we usually have some
extra pairs available to loan out. Then please come with proper footwear
or not sandals and so on.

Miura Peninsula Walk/Swim/Sunflowers

(¥1000 Participation Fee)(Cancelled in case of rain)(EASY)

Meeting Place and Time: Misakiguchi Station 10:23 am

Train and bus: From Yokohama station, take the 9:29 Keihin Kyuko Line bound for Misakiguchi.  Get off at the last station (Misakiguchi). It arrives there at 10:2o.  We will then take the 10:37 bus from Misakiguchi to Sun Hill arriving at 10:49  (12 minutes).

We will take the bus to Sun Hill (Soliel no Oka) to see the sunflower field. Then, we walk to Arasaki on the Miura Peninsula. This is a coastline walk with nice sea views, beaches and caves. This is an easy walk, going from Arasaki to Nagahama Beach, where we will swim and have some beach fun.

Please bring lunch and something to drink.  If you are swimming, please bring swimsuits and some towels.

Around 100,000 sunflowers decorate this farmland. Let’s visit the largest sunflower field in Tokyo together.

Walking Time: About 1 hour (5km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take about 2 hours.
