Kamakura Hydrongea Hike!

(We will go even if it rains)

We will meet at the east ticket gate of Kamakura Station (on the Yokosuka Line) at 10:20AM. From Shinbashi Station, take the 9:25AM Yokosuka Line train (towards Kurihama). This arrives at Kamakura at 10:19AM.

If you’d like to go with David, please meet at the front of the Yokosuka Line platform of Shinbashi Station at 9:24AM.

Hiking Course – Kamakura Station – Ankokuronji Temple – Yuigahama Beach – Daibutsu Hiking Course – Genshiyama Park – Engakuji Temple – Meigetsuin Shrine – Kitakamakura Station

JAMBO Summer Solstice Celebration in Yoyogi Park

6:30 – 8:30PM

This is an alcohol free event, so please feel free to bring children as well.

Meeting Place/Time: 6:15PM at the Harajuku JR ticket gate (nearest to Yoyogi Park)

A great chance to enjoy the refreshing greenery of a park close to home, get exercise, and make new acquaintances.

Please bring some snacks/drinks (no alcohol please) to share. Also, bring anything you want to play with (ball, games…), candles, sheet, or whatever else.

If you come late, please go to the Yoyogi Park entrance (the big gate) and go to the large field just inside the gate. We’ll probably be there. If you can ‘t find us, please call me (080-6546-7688).

Tanzawa Flower DOUBLE WHAMMY Hike!

We will meet at the south gate of AikoIshida Station at 9:00AM or the ticket gate of ShinMatsuda Station (on the Odakyu Line) at 11:55 AM.

8:01 Depart Shinjuku on the Odakyu Line (Express)
8:57 Arrive at AikoIshida Station

If you’d like to go from Shinjuku, get on the front of the 8:01 Odakyu Line train at Shinjuku Station.
David will get on the first car at the next station (Yoyogi Uehara).

For those joining us from Shin Matsuda, please take the following train:

10:30 Depart Shinjuku on the Odakyu Line (Express)
11:53 Arrive at Shin Matsuda

For JAMBO members, the cost is ¥3,500 for men and ¥3,000 for women w/reservation (or plus ¥500 if you go directly without making a reservation). All beer, wine, cocktails, sot drinks + sushi buffet, garden salad, veggies, cheeses, breads, and pies for dessert included. Reservations can be made with David at jambodave@green.email.ne.jp or phone (03-6599-8112) by June 10.

Chichibu Flower Exploratory Course!

Please bring your own food and drink.

We will meet at the ticket gate of Higashi Moro at 10:40AM. From Ikebukuro, take the Tobu Tojo Line’s Express Train at 9:30 and change at Sakado (arriving here at 10:13) to the Tobu Ogose Line. Take the 10:25AM Tobu Ogose Line train to Higashi Moro Station. It arrives there at 10:38AM. 

There are roses, irises and hydrongea on this course. The course we take will depend on which flowers are blooming, but we’ll probably do this one:

Higashi Moro Station – Rose Garden – Iris field – Hydrongea Road – Mt. Hanamagari – Higashi Moro Station

The hike itself is about 5 hours. Should be a lot of fun! The train fare is 630 Yen one-way from Ikebukuro. 
If you’d like to go together from Ikebukuro, get on the front of the 9:30 Tobu Tojo Line train from there.
