Bring your own beverages, lunch, and a plastic bag for picking up garbage on the Chigasaki beach.

Meet at Chigasaki Station (on the Tokaido Line & Shonan Shinjuku Line) at 11:00AM. Take the 10:31AM Shinjuku Shonan Line train from Yokohama (going towards Odawara). This becomes the Tokaido Line at Oofuna Station and arrives at Chigasaki at 10:56AM. Meet at the front of the Shonan Shinjuku Line platform at Yokohama at 9:31 if you want to go from there there. David will get on there as well.

COURSE: Chigasaki Station – Chigasaki Beach – Surfing Beach (Watch the Surfers/Swim) – Tsujido Nishi Hama (Frisbee, Garbage Clean-up, Beach fun) – Kugenuma Kaigan (Sunset & Party)

The Yoshimi Hyakuana National Historic Site preserves 219 ancient tombs carved into a soft sandstone hillside between the sixth and seventh centuries.

We will meet at Tobu Tojo Line’s Higashi Matsuyama Station’s ticket gate at 10:55AM or at the front of the Tobu Tojo Line platform at Ikebukuro Station at 10:00AM. Take the 10:00AM Tobu Tojo Line express train (going towards Ogawamachi) at Ikebukuro Station. This arrives at HigashiMatsuyama Station at 10:53AM. (630 yen)

Course: HigashiMatsuyama Station – Big Marsh – Mt. PonPon – – Haccho Lake – Yoshimi Goddess of Mercy – Mt. Tenno Nature Park – 100 tombs – Higashi Matsuyama Station

Meet at the ticket gate of Miura Kaigan Station on the Keihin Kyuko line at 10:00AM or Shinagawa station (meet on the front car of the Keihin Kyuko line at 8:45
and take the 8:45 express train (going towards Misakiguchi), arriving at MiuraKaigan Station at 9:56. David will get on the front car of that train at Kamata Station at 8:53).

Course: MiuraKaigan Station – Tomikawacho Bus Stop (25 minutes by bus – 420 yen) – Tomigawa Waterfall – Thief Cliff – Kensaki Lighthouse – Ooura Coast – Matsuwa Bus Stop (15 minute bus ride – 250 yen) – Miura Beach – MiuraKaigan Station

This is a coastline hike with nice sea views, beaches and waterfalls. We will play frisbee, look around on the coast for creatures of the sea, go swimming here and there, and end up at the wonderful Miura Kaigan beach, so wear your swimsuits!

Bring food for lunch and drinks.

Meeting Place/Time: 6:15PM at the Kiba Station’s Exit #3 (on the Tozai Line 3 stops after Nihonbashi) – The park is only a 3 minute walk from the station!

Please feel free to bring children as well. Our friends from Greenheart will join as well.

A great chance to enjoy the refreshing greenery of a park close to home, get exercise, and make new acquaintances.

Please bring some snacks/drinks to share. In order to generate as little garbage as possible, please use reusable containers and recyclables as much as possible. Also, bring anything you want to play with (ball, games…), candles, sheet, or whatever else.

If you come late, please go to the Kiba Park entrance (nearest Exit 3 of Kiba Station) and go to the large field just inside the gate. We’ll probably be there. If you can ‘t find us, please call me (080-6546-7688).
