Meet at the Seibu Chichibu Line’s Ashigakubo Station’s Ticket Gate at 10:25. From Ikebukuro, take the Seibu Ikebukuro Line’s Express train at 8:50 to Hanno (arriving at Hanno at 9:37) and change here for the Seibu Chichu Line’s train, leaving Hanno at 9:43. This train arrives at Ashigakubo Station at 10:21. Be sure to arrive on this train as we will be unable to wait for the next one.
People going from Ikebukuro Station can meet in the front car of the Seibu Ikebukuro Line train at 8:50.
The hike will be Ashigakubo Station – Mt. Futago (the Twins) – Ashigakubo Station.
The hiking time is about 4 hours.
After the hike, we will go to a Japanese Pub (from 17:30) in Ikebukuro and see the Christmas illuminations there. People who want to go to the Pub but not on the hike must make a reservation (to David at jambodave@green.email.ne.jp) by December 16. Hikers may reserve on that day.

At Miran Hall (Chitosekarasuyama Station on the Keio Line) ¥1500
To go to Miran Hall, go out the East Exit of Chitosekarasuyama Station and up the steps on the left. At the top of the steps, turn right and walk along the railroad tracks (DO NOT CROSS the tracks). The tracks should be on your right. In about 1 minute, you’ll come to a stairway on the outside of a barber shop which goes up to Miran Hall. If you can’t find it, please call 3300-0912 or 080-6546-7688 for directions,
If you’d like to go with David, please meet at the Chitosekarasuyama Station East Ticket Gate at 6:37PM .

This is a Kris Kringle Party. People who want to participate in the gift exchange, please bring a recycled present (please don’t buy something new) worth about ¥1000 and participants exchange the gifts with each other.
Proceeds from the entrance fee will be donated to Save the Children (http://www.savechildren.org/). JAMBO sponsors two children (one from the Philippines and one from Malawi in Central Africa) through this wonderful organization. The proceeds will go towards financial support of these children.

This project is a 15 minute walk from Takao Station. Any interested people may contact David for more details by December 8 (since reservations are necessary).
If you join this event, please bring the following:
Long sleeved shirt and long pants (not shorts), work gloves, towel, and appropriate shoes (trekking shoes or hiking boots) are required.
Please bring whatever you want to eat for lunch, and drinks during the work project.

Those going from Yokohama can meet on the front car of the Toukaidou Line at Yokohama at 9:20.
The hike itself is not difficult, but the hiking time is about 6 hours.

Bring your lunch and plenty of liquids.

PART 1
Meet at the Odakyuu Tama Line’s Karakida Station’s ticket gate at 10:00AM.
Take the Odakyuu Line (going towards Odawara) from Shinjuku Station at 9:13AM and change to the Odakyuu Tama Express line at Kyoudou (arriving at 9:30 and departing at 9:32). Take this to Karakida, arriving at 9:59.
If you’d like to go from Shinjuku, ride at the front of the 9:13 train at Shinjuku Station. David will meet you at the front of the Kyoudou Station platform at 9:30AM to change to the Odakyuu Tama Express.
Course: Karakida Station – Tsurumaki Park – Gingko tree lined walk – Tama Chuou Park – Tomigaoka Park – Keiou Eiyama Station It’s a fairly easy 6 KM 2.5 hour hike with a lot of greenery.

Meet at the Keio Line’s Keiou Eiyama Station’s ticket gate at 1:00PM.
Take the Keio Semi-Express (Junkyuu going towards Takaosanguchi) from Shinjuku Station at 12:30 and change to the Keio Sagamihara line (express going towards Hashimoto) at Chofu (arriving at 12:46 and departing at 12:47). Take this to KeiouEiyama, arriving at 13:00.
Course: KeiouEiyama Station – SuwaKita Park – TouKaede Tree-Lined Walk – TamaHigashi Park – Toritsu Sakuragaoka Park – Seigaoka Green Road – KeiouEiyama Station It’s a fairly easy 7 KM – 3.5 hour hike with a lot of greenery.
