AKIKAWA Adventure Course!

UNUSUAL WEEKDAY HIKE!

Meet at the ticket gate of Akigawa Station (on the Itsukaichi Line) at 10:23AM .

From Shinjuku, take the Chuo/Oume Line at 9:16 , arriving at Haijima Station at 10:06AM.
Change to the MusashiItsukaichi Line, leaving Haijima at 10:11 This train arrives at Akigawa at 10:21AM .

David will get on the front of the MusashiItsukaichi Line train at Haijima at 10:11AM.

Course: Akigawa Station – Culture Forest – Nishifukuji Temple – MusashiItsukaichi Station

Kita Kamakura – Ofuna Flower Center Hiking & Sunset/Moonlight Party!

(Participation Fee 500 yen + 350 yen for entering Flower Center)(We will do it even if it rains)

We will meet at the North ticket gate of Kitakamakura Station (on the Yokosuka Line) at 9:55AM .

You can get on the Yokosuka Line (going towards Yokosuka) at Shinbashi Station at 9:04, arriving in Kitakamakura at 9:53AM

Hiking Course – KitaKamakura Station – Mt Rokkokumi – Kounodai – Ofuna Goddess of Mercy Statue – Ofuna Flower Center – Ofuna Station

If you’d like to go from Shinbashi , David and others will be on the front of the 9:04 JR Yokosuka Line train at Shinbashi Station.

After the hike, those who want to go are invited to a friend’s party in a wonderful place on the 11th floor overlooking the Tsurumi River. For those not going on the hike but wanting to go to the party, please meet us at the Tsurumi Station (on the Keihin Tohoku Line) ticket gate at 15:58.

Ebisu Int’l Party

(Limit 8 people)

Time/Place: 6:30-9:00pm at Ebisu 7 (Map is at http://www.kokusaika.org/english/ebisu.html)

For JAMBO members, the cost is 3,500 yen for men and 3,000 for women w/reservation (or plus 500 yen if you go directly without making a reservation). Large international party with buffet dinner, including honey-glazed spiral hams, baked beans, new potato salad, cheese platters, salads, veggies, a large sheet cake and pies from Kyle’s Good Find’s Bakery and homemade ice cream. Open drink bar + buffet, salads, veggies, cake, etc.

Half of your admission fee will be donated to Tikondane ( ZAMBIA ) http://www.tikondane.org/ – This is a place educating nurses and teaching literacy. There are also various income generating activities such as the garden and skill training initiatives, as well as important community development work. Tikondane is a gem for the tourist interested in finding the real Africa . So you can have an enjoyable evening and help a good cause at the same time.

If you’d like to go with David, please meet at the Hibiya Line’s Ebisu Station (Exit # 1) at 6:22PM on the 15th.

Shasui Waterfall & 21st Century Forest Hike

Meeting Place/Time: JR Gotemba Line’s Yamakita Station
Ticket Gate at 10:05AM

Train (Make sure to arrive at Yamakita by on this train or before) as we cannot wait for the next one:

Shinjuku Station (Odakyu Line Express towards Fujisawa) 8:20AM – SagamiOno Station (arriving at 8:58)
SagamiOno Station (Odakyu Line Express towards Odawara(departing at 9:03) – Shinmatsuda Station (arriving at 9:43 )

Matsuda Station JR Gotemba Line ( 9:57 ) – Yamakita Station ( 10:04 )

If you’d like to go from Shinjuku, get on the front of the 8:20 Odakyu Line train at Shinjuku Station.

David will get on the first car at the next station(Yoyogi Uehara).

Please don’t forget to have your rucksack and tracking shoes to avoid your injury.

This course combines the Shasui Waterfall (one of Japan ‘s top 100 waterfalls – hopefully we can get into the water there too) & 21 Century Park (a huge park with many facilities and extensive hiking trails therein). Should be a wonderful time!!!
