Meeting Time/Place: 10:00AM at Edogawabashi Station (Yurakucho Line) Exit 1a or anywhere along the way

Course:  Edogawabashi Station – Edogawa Park cherry trees (10:15-11:15) – Harima Slope cherry trees (lunch – 12:00-1:00) – Koishikawa Korakuen Garden (weeping cherries 1:30-2:30) – Iidabashi station – Ichigaya Station cherry tree walk (3:00-4:00) – Yoyogi Park

We will take a train from Ichigaya station to Harajuku station, hopefully arriving around 4:30 pm.

Walking Time: About 3 Hours (7 km)

We’ll also be meeting another group for a cherry blossom party in Yoyogi Park afterwards (Though it isn’t part of the official event).

10:00, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the
river bank for about 3.5 to 4 hours.

It’s one of the best places to see cherry blossoms in Tokyo.

☆Meeting Time/Place:  3:00PM Tokyu Denentoshi Line Ikejiri-Ohashi Station Ticket Gate

☆Course: Ikejiri-Ohashi Station – Meguro River – Nakameguro – Meguro Shimbashi – Meguro Station

☆Walking Time: About 1 hour (about 4km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take about 2 hours.

Gather at Kojimashinden Station outside the only ticket gate and then go
to the Tamagawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about 3.5 to
4 hours.

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location under
or near the new Tamagawa Sky Bridge (But walk straight to the river
first as there is no access from the bridge.) Also call my cell phone

Chidorigafuchi Night Cherry Blossom Viewing

Meeting Places/Times: 
Exit 3b of Kudanshita Station at 6 pm or in front of the clock tower near Budokan at 6:30 pm

Course:
 Cherry Blossom viewing party: 6:45 pm – 8 pm in Kita-no-maru park. After that, we will walk around Yasukuni Shrine and the moat area to see the nighttime cherry trees.

Those meeting at 6:00 will shop at the nearby convenience store. Those coming afterwards, please bring some snacks/drinks. If you come late,  please go to the Kita no Maru Park (next to the pond) which is past the  Budokan on the right side.  If you can’t find us, please call (not text messaging) David and Miki (080-6546-7688).

Course: Kichijoji Station → Inokashira Park (Picnic) → Tamagawa Josui Walk → Temple Town → Chitosekarasuyama Station

Walking time: About 3 hours / 8 km

You can bring your own food/drinks or buy them on the way to the park.

 

2) Edogawa River Clean Up

Gather at Myoden Station: 13:00

Return to station: 17:00

Gather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at
13:00, and then go to the Edogawa River and pick up trash along the
banks for about about 3.5 to 4 hours.

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location on the
opposite side of the river from the Clean Spa under the bay front
bridges. Just walk to the river from the station and the head to the

Train: 9:25  Depart Odawara on the Hakone Tozan Tetsudo (railway) going towards Hakone Yumoto, 9:40 Arrive at Hakone Yumoto, 9:51 Depart Hakone Yumoto on the Hakone Tozan Tetsudo (railway) going towards Gora, 10:27 Arrive at Kowakudani

Course: Kowakudani Station – Chisuji Falls – SengenYama (802 m) – Shiroyama – HakoneYumoto

The total course time for the hike will be about 4 hours.

There are many hot springs in the Hakone Yumoto area, so if you want to
go, please feel free to go (This is not part of the Jambo program however).

Please bring your lunch and drinks. Please wear appropriate shoes for hiking.

FOE Environmental Project

Meeting Place and time: 9:47 am at Utsugidai Bus Stop

Those who wish to go with David, please meet at Hino Station (on the Chuo Line) ticket gate at 9:25. We will take the 9:30 bus from there (15 minutes).

Work hours: 10:00 – 15:30
 (Planting mushroom spores, chopping wood, etc)

Please wear long pants and long-sleeved shirt and exercise shoes.

Course: Ogose Station – Mt. NishiTakatori – Mt. Ootakatori – Ogose Plum Tree Park – Ogose Station

Ogose Plum Tree Park should be in bloom and has 1,000 trees, with some being 600 years old. The walking time itself is about 4-5 hours.

Please wear appropriate shoes for a hike and bring your lunch and drinks.

Okutama Hiking and Plum Blossoms

(Intermediate (on the easy side) Course) (1000 yen Participation Fee) (Canceled in case of rain)

Meeting place and time: Futamatao Station at  10:45 am

Train: Ome Departure (Ome Line towards Okutama) – 10:33 Futamatao Station Arrival – 10:43

The trains run infrequently, and we won’t be able to wait for the next one (40 minutes later). We are unable to accommodate latecomers, so please make sure to arrive by the appointed meeting time.

Course: Futamatao Station – Atago Shrine – Mt. Atago (584 m) – Mt. Mimuro (647 m) – Yoshino Plum Park – Hinatawada Station (about 4 hours)

Due to the closure of the route from Mt. Atago to Mt. Mimuro, we will slightly change the route on the day.

Please wear appropriate shoes for a hike and bring your lunch and drinks.
