On the way-back, we will go to “Hayabusa-onsen”, and also drop in at “ Erinji Temple” (Takeda Shingen’s family temple) if time allows.
Meeting:At 10:10 am at the trailhead of Nishizawa Valley ( in front of the tourist sign/toilets).
Traffic:To get on either of the 8:30 bus or 9:05 bus, take ① or ② (bus charge-1,030 yen) without delay. Regarding other JR train times, to check and confirm by yourselves.
1 JR Shinjuku (Chuo Line) 6:00 departure→Takao 6:56→change to the Chuo Honsen train departing at 7:02→Enzan arrival 8:12→go out the south exit to the bus-stop No.1(for Nishizawa Valley)→Enzan 8:30 bus departure→Nishizawa-keikoku-iriguchi arrival 9:30. Do something good for the environment and join the garbage pick-up. After that, we’ll go to a big festival in Kiba Park (http://www.koto-kuminmaturi.jp/). There will be many volunteer organizations which have booths, so you can get information on environmental and other groups, And, of course, there will be many food and drink stands as well.
4:00 – 5:30 – Volunteer Meetup and Park Fun
Talk about your cause. If you don’t have a cause and are simply interested in volunteering, please come and you may find something to your liking. After that, enjoy fun in the park (Frisbee, Sunset, Picnic)

Cutting Down Bamboo Grass and Old Trees
(Cancelled in case of rain) 9:30AM – 2:30PM
We meet at 9:25AM at the front main entrance of Tama Zoo’s station (TamaDobutsukoen).
Take the 8:40AM Keio Line Semi-express from Shinjuku to Takahatafudo (arriving at 9:13AM) and change to the Keio Dobutsu Koen Line train, leaving Takahatafudo at 9:17 and arriving at Tama Dobutsu Koen Station at 9:20AM.
If you would like to participate, please inform David by October 10 so that we can get volunteer insurance. If you join this event, please bring the following: Long sleeved shirt and long pants (not shorts), work gloves, towel, and appropriate shoes (trekking shoes or hiking boots) are required.
Please bring whatever you want to eat for lunch, and drinks during the work project.

Meeting Place/Time: Yanagawa Station Ticket Gate at 10:15AM We will relax on the Yanagawa River. You can stroll along the river and swim into a gorge, so bring your swimsuit and towel. After that, we will go back to Takao Station, hike up Mt. Takao and go to the Beer Garden there.
