Includes Must-see “Nanatsugama Godan-no-taki ” (Wonderful Waterfall !! )

On the way-back, we will go to “Hayabusa-onsen”, and also drop in at “ Erinji Temple” (Takeda Shingen’s family temple) if time allows.

Meeting：At 10:10 am at the trailhead of Nishizawa Valley ( in front of the tourist sign/toilets).

Traffic：To get on either of the 8:30 bus or 9:05 bus, take ① or ② (bus charge-1,030 yen) without delay. Regarding other JR train times, to check and confirm by yourselves.

1 JR Shinjuku (Chuo Line) 6:00 departure→Takao 6:56→change to the Chuo Honsen train departing at 7:02→Enzan arrival 8:12→go out the south exit to the bus-stop No.1(for Nishizawa Valley)→Enzan 8:30 bus departure→Nishizawa-keikoku-iriguchi arrival 9:30. (Guide：David, who can meet people on the front car of the Chuo Honsen Line train at Takao at 7:02 )

Hiking Course（aprox.10 km / 3.5～4.0 hours）：
Nishizawa Valley trailhead ⇒Ryujin-no-taki⇒Koi-ito-no-taki⇒Nanatsugama Godan-no-taki ⇒Old forest track ⇒Nishizawa Valley trailhead.

Belongings：Lunch , drinks, rain outfits and change of clothes/towel (if you go to hot springs afterwards)

Please wear good shoes for about ４ hours walk and bring some lunch and drink.

BYOD Party in large 11F riverside apartment in Tsurumi where David’s friend Clyde lives.
We will have a blast there.

Do something good for the environment and join the garbage pick-up. After that, we’ll go to a big festival in Kiba Park (http://www.koto-kuminmaturi.jp/). There will be many volunteer organizations which have booths, so you can get information on environmental and other groups, And, of course, there will be many food and drink stands as well.
4:00 – 5:30 – Volunteer Meetup and Park Fun
Talk about your cause. If you don’t have a cause and are simply interested in volunteering, please come and you may find something to your liking. After that, enjoy fun in the park (Frisbee, Sunset, Picnic)

Cutting Down Bamboo Grass and Old Trees
(Cancelled in case of rain) 9:30AM – 2:30PM

We meet at 9:25AM at the front main entrance of Tama Zoo’s station (TamaDobutsukoen).
Take the 8:40AM Keio Line Semi-express from Shinjuku to Takahatafudo  (arriving at 9:13AM) and change to the Keio Dobutsu Koen Line train, leaving Takahatafudo at 9:17 and arriving at Tama Dobutsu Koen Station  at 9:20AM.

If you would like to participate, please inform David by October 10 so that we can get volunteer insurance. If you join this event, please bring the following: Long sleeved shirt and long pants (not shorts), work gloves, towel, and appropriate shoes (trekking shoes or hiking boots) are required.

Please bring whatever you want to eat for lunch, and drinks during the work project.

From 6:30-9:30pm at the Polygon (behind the Oriental Bazaar on Omotesando) For JAMBO members, the cost is 3,500 yen for men and 3,000 yen for women w/reservation (foreigners get a 1000 yen discount)(or plus 500 yen if you go directly without making a reservation). All beer, wine, cocktails, soft drinks + sushi buffet, garden salad, veggies, cheeses, breads, and pies for dessert included.

Course: Youga Station – Kinuta Park – Tama River – Todoroki Gorge – Todoroki Station (Toukyuu Ooimachi Line)
 
This course has a wealth of nature in the middle of Tokyo, along with the FULL MOON!!!
 
Walking Time: About 2.5 hours

Meet at the ticket gate of Musashi Yokote.

From Ikebukuro Station, take the Seibu Ikebukuro Line train (express)
at 9:20AM to Hanno Station (arriving at 10:08AM) and change there to the
Seibu Chichibu Line (just across the platform), leaving at 10:13AM. This
arrives at Musashi Yokote station at 10:24AM

Bring your lunch and plenty of liquids.

Course: MusashiYokote Station – Chounenji Temple – Mt. Fukazawa – Mt. Sukari – Kamakita Lake – Bushuunagase Station (Tobu Ogose Line)

Please don’t forget to bring a rucksack for your food/drinks and wear exercise shoes!

Meeting Place/Time: Yanagawa Station Ticket Gate at 10:15AM   We will relax on the Yanagawa River.  You can stroll along the river and swim into a gorge, so bring your swimsuit and towel. After that, we will go back to Takao Station, hike up Mt. Takao and go to the Beer Garden there.
Please bring your lunch and drink.

For those only joining in the afternoon, meet at the JR Line Takao Station North ticket gate at 14:23 (participation fee – 500 yen).  We’ll hike up Mt. Takao from there and hit the Mt. Takao Beer Garden at about 4:30PM. (3300 yen for men and 3000 yen for women – all you can eat and drink for 2 hours)
