Jambo & Earthday Group Ride
Let’s ride to Chim Chim Racing!

We will ride from Mitaka station, through Musashino Central Park, pass by Kodaira Old Village( http://kodaira-furusatomura.jp/ ), where we might have a local cable Television, J-com, interview us. You can let us know if you do not wish to be in TV show. We can buy local vegetables from the farmer’s stands along with Tama Lake Cycling Road  then we’ll have a BBQ and lots of fun. Children and beginner riders are very welcome!
We can also buy food and drinks near Kodaira station, which is near the goal.
The goal aka BBQ spot will be at Chim Chim Racing(http://chimchimracing.com/) – the owner Mr. ZUKKY is a bicycle frame builder. We will exchange great bike stories. We can ride up to Murayama reservoir as an optional tour.

For people who need to rent a bicycle, please come to Mitaka Station’s south exit Police box at 9:30. Hiro (090-3538-5511) and David will meet you there and go to Susuzake Bicycle Rental: ( http://www.mitaka.ne.jp/machidukuri/rentalcycle/index.html ) to rent bikes. The cost is ¥300 /day and the number of bicycles is limited.

If you have your bicycle – we meet at 10:00am at Mitaka Station’s south exit Police Box.

Latecomers can come to the BBQ at Chim Chim Racing at 12:30. The nearest station is Kodaira station on the Seibushinjuku line and Haijima line.

Please bring snacks and foods for the BBQ and drinks (you can also buy them at a store near the BBQ location or at some farmer’s stands) as well as any kind of park toys: balls, frisbees, unicycles, juggling balls, badminton rackets, inflatable sumo suits, foam swords and squirt guns. For riders, helmets are recommended.

We will ride through a shopping area and some parks from Mitaka station, and can shop for the afternoon’s picnic at a supermarket in Musashi Sakai and a Co-op. Then, we coninue along the Nogawa River, to a Kokubunji natural spring park, and on to Musashi Kokubunji Park, where we’ll hang out, eat and drink, take a walk, play frisbee, etc. http://bit.ly/1E7GqsD

You can do various simulations with solutions offered by volunteer guides.

 On the way, we will stop at a supermarket to shop for lunch stuff, and have lunch at the facility.
We plan to finish up at 5:00PM.

Those who want to rent bicycles will meet at the Mitaka Station police box (at the bottom of the stairs of the South Exit) at 9:30. Mr. Konno and David will be waiting there and take you to the bicycle rental shop (300 yen for the day for 1 bicycle). Please DO NOT BE LATE since bicycles are liimited.

If you have your own bycles, please meet at the Mitaka Station South Exit police box at 10:00. After the explanation of the course, we will take off at around 10:30AM.

Those who come late can meet us at the Ocean Traffic Safely Research Center at 12:30 (when we plan to be there). From Mitaka Station, it takes about 10 minutes by bus or by bicycle.

Please bring food and drink (or you can buy at the supermarket), a ground sheet, any “toys” (frisbees, balls, etc.)

We recommend wearing helmuts for those coming by bicycle.

Easy Course (Participation Fee 1000 yen) (Reservation requested)(Canceled in case of rain)
