DEPART 7:35am  Shinjuku (Chuo line to Takao)(Guy will board this train at Mitaka)
ARRIVE 8:18 Takao (change to the Chuo line going towards Kofu)
LEAVE TAKAO 8:20
ARRIVE 9.26  Kai-yamato
DEPART 9:45   Kai-yamato (by bus)
ARRIVE about 10:05 YamatotenmokuOnsen
HIKE
DEPART Either 5:15 or 6:30PM  Higawakeikoku Leisure Center (bus) to Kai-yamato Station
A peaceful area of broad mountain top with alpine grasses and vegetation and great views if the weather is clear.
The entry and exit roads are rather long but the 5-6 hour walk is worth it!
