Gather riverside 10:30
Finishing up: 14:00
RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the only ticket
gate,
and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks
for
about 3 5 to 4 hours with a break in the middle.
WHAT TO BRING
Wear old clothing that you do not mind getting dirty, and please
wear
long pants. Bare legs are not recommended because they can easily
get
cut from objects like cut river reeds. Also, a hat is recommended,
especially during the summer months, and please bring lots of liquids
to
drink. Bringing gloves is also recommended but we usually have some
extra pairs available to loan out.
ADDITIONAL INFO
If you come late, it will be about a 25 min. walk to our location on
the
island under the elevated C2 highway between the Kasaibashi Bridge
and
the Shinjuku Line train bridge but much closer to the Shinjjuk Line
Bridge. Call David’s cell phone 080-6546-7688 if there are any problems
finding us.
RAIN
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled.
Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until
any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds
(e.g.,
typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.
Let’s have fun enjoying our local nature while making it better at
the
same time.
