Myorakuji Temple is known as the hydrangea temple. It’s located in Kawasaki. It boasts of 1,000 hydrangeas of 28 kinds.

☆Meeting Time/Place:  14:00 at JR Nanbu Line Shukugawara Station ticket gate

☆Course : Shukugawara Station – Myorakuji – Kuji Station

☆Walking Time: About an hour (about 3km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take about 2 hours.

and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks

about about 3 5 to 4 hours.

Bridge but much closer to the Shinjuku train line bridge.

RIVER CLEAN UP

Gather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at
14:30, and then go to the Edogawa River by car and pick up trash along
the banks for about 3 to 3.5 hours

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location behind
Clean Center (incineration plant) and the Clean Spa. First walk to the
Myoden Bridge, cross it, and enter the rierside path on the embankement.
Then head in the direction of Tokyo Bay until you see us along the water

are any problems finding us.

RAIN

In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled
as we will move to and from the river by car and we can clean up under
cover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent areas using
rain ware. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon
conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.

Meeting Place/Time: Agano Station at 10:30 am

Train: Hanno Station Departure – 10:05 (Seibu Chichibu line train going towards Seibu Chichibu), Agano Station Arrival – 10:25

Trains are not running frequently and we are unable to attend to latecomers.  Please be sure to take this train.

Course: Agano Station – Maesaka – Mt. Ootaka – Mt. Tenkaku – Higashi Agano Station.
The hiking time is about 4  hours.

Please bring your lunch and drink and make sure to wear proper hiking shoes.

Tama “Abundance of Parks” Walk & Ikuta Rose Garden

(Easy)(Participation Fee 1000 yen)(Cancelled in case of rain)

Meeting Place & Time: Tsudayama Station (Nanbu Line) at 10:25AM

Course:  Tsudayama Station (Nanbu Line) – Green Hill Cemetary – Higashi Takane Forest Park (Lunch) – Ikuta Rose GardenIkuta Green Area – Mukougaoka Yuuen Station (Odakyuu Line)

We go mostly through parks, but there’s also walking on roads.

Walking Time: About 3 Hours (8 km) plus a lot of time for fun, so the walk should take about 5 hours.

The parks we go to have  an observation platform at the top of Mt. Masugata, a Fountain Square, a Science Center for Youth (which includes a Planetarium,  Nihon Minka-en (Japan Open-Air Folk Museum) where there are many Traditional Folk Houses and more!!!
