Meeting place/time: Hamakanaya Station Ticket Gate 10:12 am
Trains (Uchibo Line) are running once an hour, and we cannot wait for the next one.  As we are unable to wait for latecomers, please be sure to take this train.

From JR Kisarazu Station, take the 9:31 
- Uchibo Line going towards KazusaIchinomiya. This arrives at 
Hamakanaya at 10:10.

Walking time: About 5 hours

Course: Hamakanaya Station – Mountain Peak 
(Temple’s Gate) – Sengen Shrine – Hyakushaku Kannon –
 Jigoku Nozoki (Peeping into hell) – Stone Buddha – Daffodil Fields – JR 
Hota Station

A wonderful view of Tokyo Bay from the top and there is the
 Giant Buddha Stone Statue. Near Hota Station, we will walk through the daffodil fields and enjoy 
their heavenly scent.

RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate,
and
then go to the Edogawa River and pick up trash along the banks
for
about
 3.5 to 4 hours

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our
location
between the Bay front bridges and the New Myoden Bridge.
From
the
station, walk to the new Myoden Bridge, cross the river, and
then
along 
the river bank until between the two bridges and look for us
at
the

RAIN
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be
cancelled
as we will move to and from the river by car and we can clean
up
under
cover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent
areas

(e.g.,
typhoon
 conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.

Those who wish to go with David, please meet at Hino Station (on the  Chuo Line) ticket gate at 9:25. We will take the 9:30 bus from there (15 minutes).

Work hours: 10:00 – 15:30
(Cutting down old trees, carrying logs, raking leaves)

Please wear long pants and long-sleeved shirt and exercise shoes.

Okutama Hike & Hossawa Waterfall

(Intermediate Level) (1000 yen Participation Fee) (Cancelled in case of rain)

Meeting place and time: At the ticket gate of JR MusashiItsukaichi Station at 8:52 am

We will take a bus at 9:00 from Musashiitsuka Station. The bus is running VERY INFREQUENTLY and we won’t be able to attend to late comers. Please make sure to arrive on time.

Train: From Haijima, take the JR MusashiItsukaichi line going towards Musashiitsukaichi at 8:32. It arrives there at 8:50.

Course: From the station, we will take the 9:00 am bus (1070 yen, 50 minutes) going to Sengen-one Tozan Guchi. We will hike up to Henbori Pass, Mt. Sengen and then down to Hossawa Waterfall (The hiking time is 4.5 hours). From there we will take the bus back to MusashiItsukaichi Station (530 yen, 22 minutes).

Please bring lunch and drinks. Also please wear proper shoes for a hike.

Meeting Place and Time: The North Ticket Gate of Tsurumaki Onsen Station (on  the Odakyuu Line) at 11:00  am

Train: For those going there from Shinjuku, board the 10:01 Odakyu Line train at Shinjuku (going towards Odawara). This arrives in Tsurumaki-Onsen at 10:59.

Course: Tsurumaki Onsen Station – Mt. Azuma – Mt.Koubou – Mt.Gongen –
Yukaraku Onsen – Shibusawa Station (about 4 hours)

After the hike, for those who want to go to onsen, we will stop by the hot springs: Yukaraku hotsprings (¥1150 + 150円)

(onsen information) From December 27 to January 4, a special year-end and New Year period will apply. During this time, the admission fee will be 150 yen higher than the regular weekend/holiday rate.

The trains are not running frequently, so we won’t be able to wait for the next train.  Please make sure to meet at the appointed time since we won’t be able to attend to latecomers)

Hanno Departure (on the Seibu Chichibu line going towards Seibu-Chichibu) 9:32 – Nishi Agano Arrival 9:59

Course: Nishi Agano Station – Ogi no Daira – Shirataki Waterfall – Fudou Waterfall – Big Waterfall – Nishi Agano Station (About 4 hours)

Please bring your lunch and drink and make sure to wear proper shoes for a hike.

After that, those who want (non-hikers are welcome too) will go to the Ikebukuro Metropolitan Plaza Illumination arriving about 16:45 and then go to a pub/restaurant for the last Jambo cheers of 2025.
