(1) Oze Asian Skunk Cabbage Hike

The largest highland marshland is known for alpine plants such as the Asian skunk cabbage. The threshold is a bit far, but this course is good even for children and seniors.
☆Meeting Time/Place: 9:30 Aizu Line Aizu-Kogen-Oze-Guchi Station Ticket Gate
We will take a bus at 9:40.
The buses are not running frequently so we cannot wait for the next bus.
☆Train: If you are coming from Asakusa, take the 6:30 Tobu Line limited express train from Asakusa Station (going towards Aizu-Tajima). This arrives at Aizu Line Aizu-Kogen-Oze-Guchi Station at 9:23.
☆Course: Numayama-Toge Bus Stop – Numayama-Toge Observation Deck – Oe Marsh – Kobuchi-Tashiro Juncture – Visitor Center – Kamappori Marsh – Oe Marsh Juncture – Numayama-Toge Observation Deck – Numayama-Toge Bus Stop
We will take a bus at 15:50.
☆Train: If you are going back to Asakusa, take the 18:06 Aizu Line limited express train from Aizu-Kogen-Oze-Guchi Station (going towardsAsakusa). This arrives at Tobu Line Asakusa Station at 21:05.
☆Walking Time : About 4 hours. (7km)

☆Bring plenty of food and drink and warm clothing (there might be some remaining snow).
☆(In the evening) No bento is on sale on the limited express and the station shop will be closed by the time we come back. So we recommend you to bring enough food for dinner as well.
☆Please have your rucksack and headlight and wear appropriate shoes for a hike to avoid injury.

(2) Arakawa River Clean UP
Gather at Funabori Station: 13:00
Go to the river 13:10
River Clean Up: 13:30-17:00
Relaxing riverside: 17:00-17:30
Return to station: 17:30
RIVER CLEAN UP:
Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the ticket gate at 13:00, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the river bank for about about 3 to 3 and half hours.
INFO:
If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location on the river at the waterline between the Shinjuku Line train bridge and the Kasaibashi Bridge. Also call James (the organizer) 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.
RAIN:
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as we will use rain ware and take cover as necessary. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled or stopped if already in progress.
