Return to station: 19:00

RIVER CLEAN UP

Gather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at 14:30, and then go to the Edogawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about about 3.5 to 4 hours.

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location on the opposite side of the river from the Clean Spa under the bay front bridges. Just walk to the river from the station and the head to the orange bridge. Also call James’ (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847 5075 if there are any problems finding us.

RAIN

In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as we will move to and from the river by car and we can clean up under cover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent areas using rain ware. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.

Tanigawadake Hiking

Mt. Tanigawa is one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains. It is easier to enjoy the views by taking a ropeway.

Meeting Time/Place: 9:40 JR Takasaki Line Minakami Station

The buses are running infrequently and we will be unable to wait for the next bus.  Please be sure to arrive by the appointed meeting time.

Course: Minakami Station 9:57(dpt) -bus- 10:17(arr) Tanigawadake Ropeway Station -(0:02)- Doaiguchi Station -ropeway- Tenjindaira Station -(0:50)- Kumaanazawa Hinanngoya -(0:30)- Tengu-no-Tomariba -(0:55)- Okinomimi -(0:45)- Tengu-no-Tomariba -(0:30)- Kumaanazawa Hinangoya -(0:40)- Tenjindaira Station -ropeway- Doaiguchi Station -(0:02)- Tanigawadage Ropeway Station -bus- Minakami Station

♦Ropeway round-trip ¥3000

Train: If you are coming from Tokyo, take the 6:20 JR Takasaki Line train from Ueno Station (going towards Takasaki). This arrives at Takasaki Station at 8:15. Take the 8:25 Joetsu Line train going towards Minakami. This train arrives at Minakami Station at 9:31

Hiking Time: About 4 hours and 10 minutes (6.4km) plus time for rest so the hike should take about 5 hours.

Enoshima Beach Fun

Enoshima Beach Fun (Enoshima Walking, Swimming, Beach Sunset)
(EASY) (1000 yen Participation Fee) (Cancelled in case of rain)

Meeting Time/Place: 13:55 at KataseEnoshima Station ticket gate

Train: If going from Shinjuku, take the 12:50 Odakyu Line Express going towards Fujisawa. Get off at Fujisawa (arriving at 13:46) and change to the Odakyu local going toward Katase Enoshima, leaving at 13:48. This arrives at KataseEnoshima at 13:54.

Course: Katase-Enoshima Station – Subana Shopping Street – Ryuguchi Temple and Pagoda – East Beach – Enoshima Island (walk around the island) – West Beach (swimming and beach fun) – Katase-Enoshima Station

Walking time: About 2.5 hours

Bring beach wear and beach toys!!! If you have a small burner which you want to cook your own food on on the beach, feel free to bring it.

Haneda Riverside Walk

(Easy Course)(Cancelled in case of heavy rain)(¥1000 Participation Fee)

Tamagawa Sky Bridge opened last year. You can enjoy walking while viewing airplanes and the river.

Meeting Time/Place: 15:00 at Keihin Kyuko Daishi Line Kojima-Shinden Station ticket gate

Course : Kojima-Shinden Station – Tamagawa Sky Bridge – Haneda Green Park – Haneda Airport Garden – Haneda Airport Terminal 3 Station

Walking Time: A little less than an hour (about 3km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take around 2 hours.

Meeting place and time: 11:13 am at the ticket gate at Uraga Station on the Keihin Kyuko Line

Train: If you’re going from Shinagawa Station, take the following train.

Keihin Kyuko Line (Express going towards Misakiguchi) Shinagawa Station  10:10 – Hori no Uchi Station Arrival 11:04 – Change to the local train going towards Uraga leaving at 11:05 – Uragawa Station Arrival 11:10

Course:  Uraga Station – Kannonzaki Ocean Park – Kannonzaki Ocean Park Beach (Swim and Beach Fun) – Ocean Breeze Promenade – Mabori Kaigan Station

Total course time: 5 hours

Please bring lunch and drinks and swimming goods.
