Gather at NISHI KASAI Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at 13:00, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about 3 to 3.5 hours.

RAIN:
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled (and usually moved to a different day).

Shinagawa Fuji is a fifteen-meter tall mound. Just like the name suggests, it is an artificial representation of famous Mount Fuji. Ever since the olden days, it was believed that climbing Mt. Fuji would bring good luck and blessings from the gods and Buddha. But alas, it takes not only great willpower, but enormous effort and preservation as well to climb the great mountain, and thus the Fujizuka was created.
☆Meeting Time/Place: 10:00 JR Yamanote Line Osaki Station south ticket gate
☆Course (about 2 hours): Osaki Station – Oyama – Shinagawa Fuji (15m) – Gongenyama – Gotenyama – Yatsuyama Fuiji – Shinagawa Station
☆Walking Time: About 1 hour (about 5km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take about 2 hours.

Gather at Barakinakayama Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at 13:00., and then go to the Edogawa River by car and pick up trash along the banks for about about 3 to 4 hours.
OPTIONAL MORNING SESSION
As I am often on the river in the morning doing some scouting and precleaning, people welcome to join me at that time, but please make specific arrangements with me by e-mail, arrival time, location, etc. Also, members can clean at any time and even any date. Just bring some clear bags and sort the trash collected, buranable, PET, cans, bottles, nonburanble, etc. and let me know where you leave the bags so that we can collect them.
INFO:
If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location on the opposite side of the river from the Clean Spa. Just walk to the river from the station and the head in the direction of Tokyo Bay until you see us along the water line. Also call James (organizer’s) cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.
RAIN:
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as we will move to and from the river by car and we can clean up under cover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent areas using rain ware. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled. Let’s have fun enjoying our local nature while making it better at the same time.

Walking Time: About 5.5 hours
Bring your own lunch and drinks and wear comfortable shoes for a hike.
●Requests to the participants
1) Wearing a mask and keep social distance
When you are near other people or talking with others, please wear the mask. Remember to keep both mouth and nose covered except when you start to feel sick or have a problem breathing.

If you are feeling feverish or feel unwell, please refrain from joining the event.

Meeting place and time: 9:30 am at the front main entrance of Tama Zoo’s station (Tama Dobutsukoen).
Cost: FREE
Train: If you are going from Shinjuku, take the 8:37 Keio Line Super-express from Shinjuku to Takahatafudo (arriving at 9:12) and change to the Keio Dobutsu Koen Line train, leaving Takahatafudo at 9:15 and arriving at Tama Dobutsu Koen Station at 9:20.
Work hour: 9:30 am – 3:00 pm
The main types of work are cutting down bamboo grass and raking leaves.
Things to bring: Long sleeved shirt and long pants (not shorts), work gloves, towel, and appropriate shoes (trekking shoes or hiking boots) are required.
Please bring whatever you want to eat for lunch, and drinks during the work project.
