Course: Shiotsu Station – Oono Reservoir – Mt. Ohanna – Namesawa Pass – Owada Pass -Yanagawa Gorge (for river fun) – Yanagawa Station (Walking time: 3 hours)

In the afternoon, we will get snacks/drinks and relax on the Yanagawa River, where you can stroll along the river and swim into a gorge.

Please bring your lunch and drink.

Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the ticket gate at 14:30, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the river bank for about about 3 to 3 and half hours.

Meeting place and time: At the ticket gate of Higashi-akiru Station (on the Itsukaichi Line) at 10:40 am

Train: From Tachikawa, take the 10:18 Oume Line train to Haijima Station (arriving at 10:29). Change to the JR Itsukaichi Line train going towards MusashiItsukaichi, leaving at 10:32. This arrives at Higashi-akiru Station at 10:37.

The trains are running infrequently and we won’t be able to wait for the next train.  Please come at the appointed time since we won’t be able to attend to latecomers.

Gather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at 14:30, and then go to the Edogawa River and pick up trash along the  banks for about about 3 to 4 hours.

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location on the  opposite side of the river from the Clean Spa under the bay front bridges. RAIN

In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as we will move to and from the river by car and we can clean up under cover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent areas using rain ware. Niemonjima is located in Kamogawa in Southern Boso Peninsula, owned by a private owner. The island is designated as a place of scenic beauty by Chiba Prefecture and selected as one of Shin Nihon Hyakkei (newly-selected 100 beautiful sceneries in Japan). You can go to the island on a rare old-style boat with two paddles within about five minutes.

Meeting Time/Place: 11:05 JR Uchibo Line Futomii Station ticket gate

By purchasing a limited express ticket via Japan Railway’s EkiNet website, you can access a big saving of 35% of the standard fare.

Train: If you are coming from Tokyo, take the 9:00 JR Limited Express Wakashio from Tokyo Station (going towards Awa-Kamogawa). This arrives at Awa-Kamogawa Station at 10:53. Take the 10:58 Uchibo Line train going towards Kisarazu. Meeting Place and Time: Misakiguchi Station 10:15

Train and bus: From Shinagawa station, take the 8:58 am Keihin Kyuko Line train bound for Misakiguchi.  Get off at the last station (Misakiguchi). It arrives there at 10:11 am.  We will then take the 10:30 bus from Misakiguchi to Sun Hill (17 minutes)

We will take the bus to Sun Hill (Soliel no Oka) to see the sunflower field. Then, we walk to Arasaki on the Miura Peninsula. This is a  coastline hike with nice sea views, beaches and caves. This is an easy walk, going from Arasaki to Nagahama Beach, where we will swim and have some beach fun.

Showa Park Experience

Course: Musashi-Itsukaichi Station – Mt. Konpira – HoshiTake Line – Akigawa River (we will swim and play along the river as we walk back to the station (along road and river) – Musashi-Itsukaichi Station

Course: KataseEnoshima Station – Subana Shopping Street – Ryuguchi Temple and Pagoda – East Beach – Enoshima Island (walk around the island) – West Beach (swimming and beach fun) – KataseEnoshima Station

Walking time: About 2.5 hours

Train: From Ikebukuro, take the Seibu Ikebukuro (Express) Line’s 9:50 am train and get off at Hanno Station, arriving there at 10:38 am. Make sure to
get on this train as we cannot wait for the next one.

Course: Hanno Station – Mt. Tenran – Mt. Tonosu – Iruma River (Swimming & river fun) – Hanno Station

Walking time: About 3.5 hours

Please wear appropriate shoes (tennis shoes, hiking boots), bring a lunch to eat on the mountain, and plenty of liquids.
Since we’ll be swimming in the river, also bring your swimsuit and towel.

Meeting time and place: SeisekiSakuragaoka Station on the Keio Line at 9:55 am

Course: SeisekiSakuragaoka Station – Iroha Slope Park – Haramine Park –Sakuragaoka Park – Shimizudani Green Area – SeisekiSakuragaoka Station

This walking course includes a walk along a river, a couple of green areas, several parks and a couple of shrines. It’s an easy, fun walk which should last about 4 hours.
