Depending on the Covid 19 situation and the direction of the Tokyo government (such as the phase of emergency), planned events may be changed or canceled. There is a chance that our decision may be made at the last minute, so please make sure to check our announcement on the website accordingly. In the case of cancellation, ‘Canceled‘ is written.
<Requests for participants >
Since there are some changes & additions in the requests, please be sure to read the following:
1) Wearing a mask
Before, you were requested to wear a mask when indoors, but now we request that your mask be worn OUTSIDE as well when you are near other people or talking with others. Remember to keep both mouth and nose covered, not hanging under the chin except when you start to feel sick or have a problem breathing.
2) Lunch
When you talk while eating, please put the mask back on, or place a handkerchief or towel over your mouth. Please try to keep a distance of 1.5-2 meters between yourself and others while having lunch.
3) Passing out food
Please refrain from sharing food (candy, fruit, anything) in order to avoid physical contact with the hands. Sharing individually packaged snacks is OK.
4) Physical Condition
If you are feeling feverish or feel unwell, please refrain from joining the event.
5) Contact Information
We ask for you to provide your contact information (email address and phone number) just in case one of the participants gets infected with Corona (in which case, we will contact all participants on that event). Also, if you are tested positive for Corona after the event, please let us know so we can inform others.
In order to continue holding safe events, we ask for all participants’ cooperation concerning these requests.

1) Mt. Otakatori hiking & Sakuranoyama Park

Train: For those going from Ikebukuro:
Ikebukuro Departure (TobuTojo Line (express) going towards ShinrinKoen)) 8:20 ⇒ Sakado (arrival) 9:03 ⇒ HURRY to the Ogose Line (on another platform) Sakado (departure) 9:06 ⇒ Ogose arrival 9:25
BE SURE to get to Ogose by 9:25 since we cannot wait for latecomers.
Course: Ogose Station → Mt. NishiTakatori → Mt. Otakatori → Sakura no yama Park (cherry viewing) → Ogose Station
The hiking time itself is about 3 hours, and we will finish off looking at the cherry trees in the park. Bring your own beverages and food for lunch. Please take a look at the websites (in Japanese) : Sakura no yama Park
After this, those who want to join the afternoon event will take the train to HigashiMurayama Station.
2) Totoro Woods & Sayama Park (cherry viewing)
(￥1000 Participation Fee) (Canceled in case of rain) (Easy – Geared for children)
Meeting place and time: Seibu Shinjuku Line’s HigashiMurayama Station ticket gate at 2:15 pm
Course: Higashi-Murayama Station → Hachikokuyama Green Area→ Totoro Woods Green Area #2 → Sayama Park → Musashi Yamato Station
This course will be half road and half hiking paths. We will finish with a walk around Sayama Park’s large cherry tree area (Cherry viewing parties aren’t permitted). Walking hours is about 2 hours.
