Light rain is forecast for tomorrow, but the event will go ahead if it remains light. We will check the weather again tomorrow morning, and if the conditions worsen and we need to cancel, we will make another announcement.

1) Cherry Blossom Hiking in Chichibu
(￥1000 Participation Fee) (Canceled in case of rain) (Easy Intermediate Course)

Meeting Place/Time: Bushu-Nakagawa Station at 10:10 am

Train: Be sure to arrive by this time since we will be unable to wait for the next train and attend to the latecomers for this hike.  Please come to the meeting place at the appointed time.

From Hanno Station, take the 8:56 am Seibu Chichibu Line train (going towards Mitsumine-Guchi).  This arrives at Bushu-Nakagawa Station at 10:07.

Course: BushuuNakagawa Station – Seiunji Temple (Weeping Cherry Tree) – Gokoku Goddess of Mercy Statue – Choja Mansion Remains – Hitsujiyama Park (Cherry Blossom Viewing) –Chichibu Station

Actual walking time is about 4.5 hours.

Please bring your lunch and drinks.

2) Arakawa River Clean Up
Organized by Tokyo River Friends

Gather at Funabori Station: 10:00
Gather riverside:  10:30
River CleanUp Finish: 14:00

RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the ticket gate
at
10:00,  and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along
the
river bank for about 3.5 to 4 hours.

ADDITIONAL INFO
If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location
between
 the Shinjuku Line train bridge and the Kasaibashi Bridge. Also
call
 James (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847 -5075 if there are any
problems finding us.

RAIN
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled.
Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge)
until
any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds
(e.g.,
typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be
cancelled  
(and
 usually moved to a different day).
