The event is on today, but we might shorten the course if there is heavy rain later. For today, we will cancel the 3rd part of the event (Ohanami party in Higashi-Oshima Komatsugawa park from 4 pm).

 

1) Cherry Tree Walk&Party (Koto ward – Edogawa ward)
FREE & EASY・Participation Fee ¥1000 (for parts 1 and/or 2)・Canceled in case of rain.

Feel free to join one, two, or all three walks

Meeting Places/Times:
1) (Tozai Line) MonzenNakacho Station (Exit 4)  10:30 am
2) (Tozai Line) Kiba Station (Exit 3)  11:50 am
3) Canceled (Toei Shinjuku Line) HigashiOjima Station (Komatsugawa Exit)  3:30 am

Course:  (About 3 hours walking = 8 km)
1) MonzenNakacho 〜 Kiba Park 10:30 ~12:00
Monzennakacho Station → Ecchujima cherry trees →  Oyokogawa cherry tree lined canal → Kiba Station (Exit 3) → Kiba Park (Hanami Party 12:00 – 1:00)

2) Kiba Park 〜 OjimaKomatsugawa Park  13:00~15:30
Kiba Park →  Sendaikawa Canal cherry walk → Komatsugawa 1000 cherry tree area → Higashi-Ojima Station → Supermarket (shopping) → Ojima-Komatsugawa Park

3) Canceled : OjimaKomatsugawa Park (Hanami Party) FREE (Feel free to come anytime)  16:00 – 17:30

Please bring food and drink, or you can buy it at a nearby Convenient Store. For those joining along the way, please contact David and Miki at 080-6546-7688.  Once the events start, we won’t be checking messages often, so please call us if you need to reach us.

●Requests to the participants
1) you are feeling feverish or feel unwell, please refrain from joining the event.
2) If you are tested positive for Corona after the event, please let us know so we can inform others.

 

2) Arakawa River Clean Up

Gather at Funabori Station: 13:00
Gather riverside:  13:30
River CleanUp: 13:00-17:30

RIVER CLEAN UP

Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the ticket gate at 13:00, and then ngo to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the river bank for about about 3.5 to 4 hours.

ADDITIONAL INFO

If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location between the Shinjuku Line train bridge and the Kasaibashi Bridge. Also call James (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.

RAIN
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until any downpours let up. . In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning
then the event will be cancelled (and usually moved to a different day).
