It’s one of the foremost scenic destinations. You can photograph a pagoda tower together with Mt. Fuji.
☆Meeting Time/Place: 10:45 Fuji-Kyuko Line Shimoyoshida Station Ticket Gate
☆Train: If you are coming from Tokyo, take the 8:23 JR Chuo Line (Rapid) train from Shinjuku Station [going towards Takao]. This arrives at Takao Station at 9:09. Take the 9:17 Chuo Main Line train [going towards Kofu]. This train arrives at Otsuki Station at 9:53. Take the 10:00 Fuji-Kyuko Line train [going towards Kawaguchiko]. This train arrives at Shimoyoshida Station at 10:41.
The trains are running infrequently and we will be unable to wait for the next train. Please be sure to arrive by the appointed meeting time.
☆Course:
Shimoyoshida Station -(0:25)- Arakura Sengen Shrine -(1:00) Mt. Arakura(1180m) -(0:05)- Goten(1184m) -(0:05)- Mt. Arakura -(0:45)- Arakura Sengen Shrine -(0:25)- Shimoyoshida Station
☆Walking Time: Nearly 3 hours (about 3.5km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing and rest so the walk should take about 4 hours.

2) Arakawa River Clean Up

Gather at FUNABORI Station: 13:00
Gather riverside 13:30
Finishing up: 17:00
RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the only ticket
gate,
and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks
for
about about 3 5 to 4 hours.
ADDITIONAL INFO:
If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location at
the
dirty angle between the Shinjuku train line bridge and the
Kasaibashi
Bridge but much closer to the Shinjuku train line bridge.

RAIN
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be
cancelled.
Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a
bridge) until
any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain/strong
winds (e.g.,
typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be
cancelled (and
usually moved to a different day).
