1) Kandagawa Walking(Easy Course)(Cancelled in case of heavy rain)(￥1000 Participation Fee)

The Kanda River is a mostly man-made aqueduct designed to bring drinking water to the shogun’s capital. Let’s enjoy walking along the river viewing nature and history.

☆Meeting Time/Place: 11:00 Tokyo Metro Edogawabashi Station Ticket Gate

☆Course: Edogawabashi Station – Edogawa Park – Site of Kanda Freshwater Intake Ōarai Weir – Sekiguchi Bashoan – Basho Residence – Fish Path -Totsuka Regional Center – Takadanobaba Station

☆Walking Time: About 1 hour (about 3km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take about 2 hours.

2) Arakawa River Clean Up

SCHEDULE
Gather at Nishi Kasai Station: 10:00
Gather riverside: 10:30
Lunch riverside (bring your your own bento): 12:00
Finishing up: 14:30

RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at NISHI KASAI Station (Tozai Line) outside the only
ticket
gate, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along
the banks
for about about 3 5 to 4 hours.

ADDITIONAL INFO
If you come late, it will be about a 25 min. walk to our
location
not far from the Kasaibashi Bridge in the upstream
direction.

RAIN
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT
be
cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under
a
bridge) until any downpours let up. In the event of heavy
rain/strong
winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event
will be
cancelled (and usually moved to a different day).
