Mt. Tanigawa is one of Japan’s 100 Famous Mountains. It is easier to enjoy the views by taking a ropeway.

☆Meeting Time/Place: 9:40 JR Takasaki Line Minakami Station

The buses are running infrequently and we will be unable to wait for the next bus.  Please be sure to arrive by the appointed meeting time.

☆Course: Minakami Station 9:57(dpt) -bus- 10:17(arr) Tanigawadake Ropeway Station -(0:02)- Doaiguchi Station -ropeway- Tenjindaira Station -(0:50)- Kumaanazawa Hinanngoya -(0:30)- Tengu-no-Tomariba -(0:55)- Okinomimi -(0:45)- Tengu-no-Tomariba -(0:30)- Kumaanazawa Hinangoya -(0:40)- Tenjindaira Station -ropeway- Doaiguchi Station -(0:02)- Tanigawadage Ropeway Station -bus- Minakami Station

☆Train: If you are coming from Tokyo, take the 6:20 JR Takasaki Line train from Ueno Station (going towards Takasaki). This arrives at Takasaki Station at 8:15. Take the 8:25 Joetsu Line train going towards Minakami. This train arrives at Minakami Station at 9:31

☆Hiking Time: About 4 hours and 10 minutes (6.4km) plus time for rest so the hike should take about 5 hours.
