Proliteracy, an International Literacy Organization (Women in Literacy) (http://www.proliteracy.org/NetCommunity/Page.aspx?pid=359&srcid=191) supports women literacy around the world.
The Institute for Sustainable Transportation (http://www.itdp.org/) is an organization that supports sustainable transport around the world, especially in developing countries.

There will be a JAMBO Live House in Soshigaya (at Live House Ikeda, a 2 minute walk from the Odakyu Line’s Soshigaya Ookura Station) on Saturday, October 2. If you are interested in playing therein, please let Nori Funabashi (oofunafuna@yahoo.co.jp) know by September 10 (stating what kind of performance you’d like to do and how long). Candidates will be chosen by lottery and informed of the results on September 14.

The funds collected this month will go to ASHOKA, an NGO which support poor people in developing countries who are trying to start their own businesses (www.ashoka.org).
