Our lives are largely dictated by the forces of repulsion and attraction. This is only natural. However, we do have some control over how much we allow them to be controlled by one or the other. When we live mostly in fear, trying to avoid those things which create discomfort, pain and worry, we end up closing ourselves down. We become afraid to go out or try something new, and our energy gets trapped inside, feeding on our anxiety. And we, consciously or unconsciously, use much of our energy running away from our fears, towards nothing.
But when we come to know what we love and move towards that, our lives are energized and we live with passion rather than out of fear. The main problem for most of us is that we don’t know what we truly love. For example, perhaps you think it is money. However, money is only paper or metal. It isn’t the money you love, but its significance – the opportunity, the experiences and things you can get with it – that you treasure. If you dig farther and farther in this way, you can find your TRUE LOVE. This, indeed, is your greatest challenge, because once it is found and you focus on moving towards that, then and only then will fear lose its power over you, and the passion of love become the source of your existence.
