\uff08<\/span>Cancelled in case of 70% or more chance of rain) 9:30 am \u2013 3:00 pm<\/p>\n The main types of work are cutting down old trees, clearing out dead wood, and raking leaves.<\/p>\n Meeting place and time: 9:30 am at the front main entrance of Tama Zoo\u2019s Station (Tama Dobutsukoen).<\/p>\n Cost: FREE<\/p>\n Train\uff1a<\/span>If you are going from Shinjuku, take the 8:43 Keio Line Semi-express from Shinjuku to Takahatafudo (arriving at 9:20) and change to the Keio Dobutsu Koen Line train, leaving Takahatafudo at 9:27 and arriving at Tama Dobutsu Koen Station\u00a0at 9:30.<\/p>\n If you would like to participate, please inform David (at jambodave@green.email.ne.jp) by December 11 (Friday) by noon so that we can get volunteer insurance.<\/p>\n Things to bring: Long sleeved shirt and long pants (not shorts),\u00a0work gloves, towel, and appropriate shoes (trekking shoes or hiking\u00a0boots) are required.<\/p>\n Please bring whatever you want to eat for lunch, and drinks during the work project.<\/p>\n 2) Arakawa River Clean Up<\/p>\n Meetup riverside: 13:00 (not the station)<\/p>\n River Clean Up: 13:15-16:30<\/p>\n Relaxing riverside: 16:30-17:00<\/p>\n RIVER CLEAN UP<\/p>\n At Yahiro, we will meetup riverside in front of the boat dock, which is next to the train line bridge. This is only a 6-7 minute walk from the station. We will then pick up trash along the river bank for about about 3 to 3 and half hours with a break in the middle. Call James (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.<\/p>\n RAIN:<\/p>\n In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as we will use rain ware and take cover as necessary.
