<A New Request from Jambo>
\n– Making sure to wear a mask, especially on the train after a hike –<\/p>\n
Recently, after the hikes, we had an increasing number of cases of people eating and drinking (beer for example) on the trains while talking to each other, not wearing their masks. Since we’ve strongly encouraged everyone to wear their masks on the train, please understand our concern and cooperate with us on this. If you do eat or drink something on the train, please put the mask back on soon after doing so.<\/p>\n
This is now the new norm, and Jambo is not any more strict than others. In order to ensure that everyone stays healthy, it’s necessary for each of us to cooperate with this. And this means having the mask fully cover the mouth and nose, not hanging under the chin. Please wear the mask in any closed space (the train, station, or in any shop). \u00a0We wish to continue the Jambo events without incident, and in order to do so, we ask for your understanding in this regard. If we see Jambo participants not wearing the mask on the train, the organizers will ask them to put it on. Thank you for your consideration.<\/p>\n

\n\u25cbIn order to continue sustainable activities, we\u2019d like to ask to keep social distancing and avoid close, group gatherings. If you have any symptom, please refrain from joining.
\n\u25cbIn order to avoid crowding at supermarkets and convenient stores, please\u00a0bring your lunch with you to the meeting place. We will not stop at any\u00a0stores after meeting.<\/p>\n
(1) Ootsuki (cliff) Hiking Details
\n(1000 Yen, Intermediate, Canceled in case of rain)<\/p>\n
Meeting Place\/Time:\u00a0Ootsuki Station (Chuo Line) Ticket Gate 12:25.<\/p>\n
Train: Take JR Chuo Line (going towards Kofu) from Takao station at 11:39 am and get\u00a0off at\u00a0Ootsuki Station, arriving at 12:24 pm.
\nWe will not be able to wait\u00a0for the next train since the trains are infrequent. Please make sure to meet on time .<\/p>\n
Hiking Course: Ootsuki\u00a0Station \u2013 Mt. Iwadono –\u00a0Chigootoshi Cliffs \u2013 Ootsuki Station<\/p>\n
Walking time: about 4 hours.
\nWalking Distance: About 10 KM
\nElevation Gain: About 300 meters
\nPlease wear appropriate shoes for a hike and bring a\u00a0lunch to eat on the mountain, and plenty of liquids.<\/p>\n
(2) River Cleanup
\nGather at Myoden Station: 13:00
\nRiver Clean Up: 13:30-16:30
\nRelaxing riverside: 16:30-17:00
\nReturn to station by Car: 17:00-17:15<\/p>\n
RIVER CLEAN UP
\nGather at Myoden Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket gate at
\n13:00., and then go to the Edogawa River by car and pick up trash along
\nthe banks for about about 3 hours.<\/p>\n
OPTIONAL MORNING SESSION
\nAs I will be on the river in the morning doing some scouting and
\nprecleaning, people welcome to join me at that time, but please make
\nspecific arrangements with James (the organizer) (090-1847-5075) by
\ne-mail, arrival time, location, etc.<\/p>\n
INFO:
\nIf you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location on the
\nopposite side of the river from the Clean Spa. Just walk to the river
\nfrom the station and the head in the direction of Tokyo Bay until you
\nsee us along the water line. Also call James (the organizer) cell phone
\n090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.<\/p>\n
RAIN:
\nIn the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as
\nwe will move to and from the river by car and we can clean up under
\ncover the bay front bridges as a Plan B as well as adjacent areas using
\nrain ware. In the event of heavy rain\/strong winds (e.g., typhoon
\nconditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.<\/p>\n
