Course:\u00a0Mitake Station – Mt. Sougaku – Mt. Iwatakeishi – Mt. Takamizu –\u00a0Ikusabata Station<\/p>\n
Meeting Place\/Time: Mitake Station Ticket Gate at 10:36AM
\nTake the 9:08AM Chuo Line Super Express train from Shinjuku Station\u00a0(going towards Oume).\u00a0 This arrives at Oume Station at 10:07AM. Go\u00a0across the platform and take the 10:13AM train\u00a0 going towards Okutama. Depending on the sites, the train arrives at either 10:31 or 10:34.<\/p>\n
Be sure to arrive by\u00a0this time since we will be unable to wait for the next train.\u00a0 From\u00a0here, we do a 4.5 hour hike to\u00a0Ikusabata Station.<\/p>\n
Please wear appropriate shoes (tennis shoes, hiking boots), bring a\u00a0lunch to eat on the mountain, and plenty of liquids. In order to avoid crowding at supermarkets and convenient stores, please bring your lunch with you to the meeting place. \u00a0We will not stop at any stores after meeting.<\/p>\n

\nNijikai Dinner at nearby restaurant: 17:30-18:30<\/p>\n
RIVER CLEAN UP<\/p>\n
Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the ticket gate at 13:00, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the river bank for about about 3 to 3 and half hours.<\/p>\n
NIJIKAI DINNER (optional)<\/p>\n
Some participants may go for dinner at a nearby restaurant or weather\/daylight permitting we could picnic riverside with some bentos bought at a nearby convenience store. The schedule will be flexible and up to the members who want to stay for a nijikai.<\/p>\n
MORNING SESSION (optional)<\/p>\n
As I will be on the river in the morning doing some scouting and precleaning, people, who may not be free in the afternoon, are welcome to join me at that time, but please make specific arrangements with me by e-mail, arrival time, location, etc.<\/p>\n

If you come late, it will be about a 20-min walk to our location on the river at the waterline about 100 meters down stream from the Shinjuku Line train bridge. Also call James\u2019 (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.<\/p>\n
RAIN:<\/p>\n
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as we will use rain ware and take cover as necessary. In the event of heavy rain\/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.<\/p>\n
