Meeting Place\/Time<\/b>: At the ticket gate of JR Fujino Station at 11:00 am
\nPLEASE BE ON TIME SINCE WE WON’T BE ABLE TO ATTEND TO LATECOMERS.<\/p>\n

Train to take<\/strong>: From JR Shinjuku Station, take the Chuo Line \u00a0(super express going\u00a0towards Takao) at 9:51,\u00a0arriving at JR Takao Station at 10:34 and change to the Chuo-honsen line (local going towards Kobuchizawa) at 10:38\u00a0to JR Fujino station, arriving at 10:56.<\/p>\n

Course<\/strong>: JR\u00a0Fujino Station –\u00a0Mt. Kongo – Mt.Hachioka – Mt. Hidure – Mt. Takara –\u00a0JR\u00a0Fujino Station
\nAll of the mountains on ”Hidure Alps Hiking Course<\/a>‘ are low.<\/p>\n

Duration of a hike<\/strong>: \u00a0About 4 hours.<\/p>\n

Hiking Leader<\/strong>: Miki (080-6546-7688)<\/p>\n

Please bring your lunch and drink. We will be having lunch on the first mountain (Mt.Kongo) about one hour after we start a hike since the view is supposed to be good there. Also, please wear proper walking shoes (or hiking shoes).<\/p>\n

2)\u00a0Arakawa River Clean Up<\/p>\n

Gather at FUNABORI Station: 13:00<\/p>\n

Go to the river 13:10<\/p>\n

River Clean Up: 13:30-16:30<\/p>\n

Relaxing riverside: 16:30-17:00<\/p>\n

Return to station: 17:00-17:15<\/p>\n

Nijikai Dinner (optional) at nearby restaurant: 17:30-18:30<\/p>\n

RIVER CLEAN UP<\/p>\n

Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the ticket gate at 13:00, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about about 3 hours to 3 and a half hours.<\/p>\n

NIJIKAI DINNER (optional)<\/p>\n

Some participants may go for dinner at a nearby restaurant or weather\/daylight permitting we could picnic riverside with some bentos bought at a nearby convenience store. The schedule will be flexible and up to the members who want to stay for a nijikai.<\/p>\n

MORNING SESSION (optional)<\/p>\n

As I will be on the river in the morning doing some scouting and precleaning, people welcome to join me at that time, but please make specific arrangements with me by e-mail, arrival time, location, etc.<\/p>\n

INFO:<\/p>\n

If you come late, it will be about a 20-min walk to our location on the river at the waterline about 100 meters downstream from the Shinjuku Line bridge. Also call James\u2019 cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.<\/p>\n

RAIN:<\/p>\n

In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled as we will move to and from the river by car and use rain ware and take coveras necessary. In the event of heavy rain\/strong winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled.<\/p>\n
