{"id":13574,"date":"2026-06-27T06:52:23","date_gmt":"2026-06-27T06:52:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jambointernational.org\/?p=13574"},"modified":"2026-06-26T08:38:24","modified_gmt":"2026-06-26T08:38:24","slug":"hiking-204","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jambointernational.org\/en\/hiking-204\/","title":{"rendered":"Canceled: 1) Kamakura Hiking and Yuigahama Beach  2) Arakawa River  Clean Up (Separate Events)\u3000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Due to the expected bad weather, this event has been canceled.<\/p>\n<p>1) Kamakura Hiking and Beach<br \/>\n(Participation Fee 1000 yen)(Easy Course) (Will be held even in light rain)<\/p>\n<p>Meeting place and time: At the West ticket gate of Kitakamakura Station (on the Yokosuka Line) at 10:23 am.<\/p>\n<p>Train: From Yokohama Station, take the 10:01 Yokosuka Line train (towards Zushi).\u00a0 This arrives at Kitakamakura at 10:21.<\/p>\n<p>Course: Kitakamakura Station \u2013 Daibutsu Hiking Course (and Genjiyama Park) \u2013 \u201cWash your Money\u201d Cave Shrine \u2013 Joju-in (coast view &amp; hydrangea) \u2013 Yuigahama Beach \u2013 Kamakura Station<\/p>\n<p>Walking Time: about 4 hours<\/p>\n<p>Please bring your lunch and drinks.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2) Arakawa River Clean Up<br \/>\nOrganized by Tokyo River Friends<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"15\">Gather at FUNABORI Station: 10:00<br data-reader-unique-id=\"16\" \/>Gather riverside 10:30<br data-reader-unique-id=\"17\" \/>Finishing up: 14:30<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"18\">RIVER CLEAN UP<br data-reader-unique-id=\"19\" \/>Gather at FUNABORI Station\u2019s only ticket gate, and then go to the<br data-reader-unique-id=\"20\" \/>Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks for about about 3.5 to 4<br data-reader-unique-id=\"21\" \/>hours with a break in the middle<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"22\">WHAT TO BRING<br data-reader-unique-id=\"23\" \/>Wear old clothing that you do not mind getting dirty, and<br data-reader-unique-id=\"24\" \/>please wear long pants. Bare legs are not recommended because they can<br data-reader-unique-id=\"25\" \/>easily get cut from objects like cut river reeds. Also, a hat is<br data-reader-unique-id=\"26\" \/>recommended, especially during the summer months, and please bring lots<br data-reader-unique-id=\"27\" \/>of liquids to drink. Bringing gloves is also recommended but we usually<br data-reader-unique-id=\"28\" \/>have some extra pairs available to loan out.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"29\">ADDITIONAL INFO<br data-reader-unique-id=\"30\" \/>If you come late, it will be about a 30 min. walk to our location on<br data-reader-unique-id=\"31\" \/>the island under the elevated C2 highway between the Shinjuku Train Line<br data-reader-unique-id=\"32\" \/>bridge and the Kasaibashi Bridge (but much closer to the train bridge.)<br data-reader-unique-id=\"33\" \/>Call James (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any<br data-reader-unique-id=\"34\" \/>problems finding us.<\/p>\n<p data-reader-unique-id=\"35\">RAIN<br data-reader-unique-id=\"36\" \/>In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled.<br data-reader-unique-id=\"37\" \/>Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until<br data-reader-unique-id=\"38\" \/>any downpours let up.
