{"id":11774,"date":"2024-02-04T00:19:22","date_gmt":"2024-02-04T00:19:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jambointernational.org\/?p=11774"},"modified":"2024-01-29T00:48:26","modified_gmt":"2024-01-29T00:48:26","slug":"1-yuujo-waterfall-hiking-2-arakawa-river-clean-up-separate-events","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jambointernational.org\/en\/1-yuujo-waterfall-hiking-2-arakawa-river-clean-up-separate-events\/","title":{"rendered":"1) Yuujo Waterfall Hiking &#038; 2) Arakawa River Clean  Up (Separate Events)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>1) Yuujo Waterfall Hiking (Tanzawa)<br \/>\n(Intermediate)(Participation Fee 1000 yen) (Cancelled in case of rain)<\/p>\n<p>\u2605Please bring your lunch since there are no stores near the station.<br \/>\n\u2605For this hike, we can&#8217;t attend to latecomers since the train is running infrequently (the next train for Gotenba line is 40 minutes later).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meeting place and time<\/strong>: At the ticket gate of Surugaoyama Station on the Gotemba Line at\u00a010:57 am<\/p>\n<p><strong>Train<\/strong>: If you are coming from Shinjuku, take the\u00a09:01 express Odakyuu Line train\u00a0(going towards\u00a0Odawara)\u00a0to Shin-Matsuda (arriving at 10:22). \u00a0Walk to Matsuda Station\u00a0(which has the JR Gotemba Line) and get on the 10:33 train.\u00a0 This train\u00a0arrives at Surugaoyama at 10:54.<\/p>\n<p>We will hike from the station to the beautiful <a href=\"https:\/\/www.takipedia.com\/detail\/5631\">Yuujo Waterfall\u00a0<\/a>(where we have lunch), then to the Ashigara Pass, and return to Ashigara\u00a0Station (on the Gotemba Line).<\/p>\n<p>Walking time: about 4 hours (about 13 km)<br \/>\nElevation Gain: About 500 meters<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2) Arakawa River Clean Up<\/p>\n<p>Organized by Tokyo River Friends<\/p>\n<p>SCHEDULE<\/p>\n<p>Gather at Nishi Kasai Station: 13:00<br \/>\nGather riverside 13:30<br \/>\nFinishing up: 17:00<\/p>\n<p>RIVER CLEAN UP<br \/>\nGather at NISHI KASAI Station (Tozai Line) outside the only ticket<br \/>\ngate,\u00a0and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the banks<br \/>\nfor\u00a0about about 3 5 to 4 hours.<\/p>\n<p>ADDITIONAL INFO<br \/>\nIf you come late, it will be about a 25 min. walk to our location<br \/>\nnot\u00a0far from the Kasaibashi Bridge in the upstream direction.<br \/>\nCall\u00a0James\u2019 (the organizer) cell phone\u00a0090-1847\u00a05075 if there are any<br \/>\nproblems finding us.<\/p>\n<p>RAIN<br \/>\nIn the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be<br \/>\ncancelled.\u00a0Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a<br \/>\nbridge) until\u00a0any downpours let up.
