1) Environmental Project at Tama Zoo
\n(Cancelled in case of 70% or more chance of rain)<\/p>\n

Meeting place and time<\/strong>:\u00a09:30 am at the front main entrance of Tama Zoo\u2019s Station (Tama\u00a0Dobutsukoen).<\/p>\n

Cost<\/strong>: FREE<\/p>\n

Work hours<\/strong> : The main type of work are cutting down bamboo grass. 9:30 am – 3:00 pm<\/p>\n

If you would like to participate, please inform David by June 22\u00a0(Thursday) at jambodave@green.email.ne.jp so that we can get volunteer insurance.<\/p>\n

If you join this\u00a0event, please\u00a0bring the following: Long sleeved shirt and long pants\u00a0(not shorts),\u00a0work gloves, towel, and appropriate shoes (trekking shoes\u00a0or hiking\u00a0boots) are required.<\/p>\n

Please bring whatever you want to eat for lunch, and drinks during the\u00a0work project.<\/p>\n

Course<\/strong>:\u00a0 Tama-Dobutsu-KoenStation – Katarai Path \u2013 Takahatafudo-son\u00a0Temple (7500 hydrangeas of\u00a020 different species) – Takahatafudo Station\u00a0(Keio Line)<\/p>\n

RIVER CLEAN UP
\nGather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line)\u00a0outside\u00a0the\u00a0ticket gate at\u00a014:30, and then go to the Arakawa River and\u00a0pick\u00a0up\u00a0trash\u00a0along\u3000the\u00a0river bank for about about 3.5 to 4 hours.<\/p>\n

\nIf you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk\u00a0to\u00a0our\u00a0location\u00a0between the Shinjuku Line train bridge and\u00a0the\u00a0Kasaibashi\u00a0Bridge. \nIn the event of light or medium rain this event\u00a0will\u00a0NOT\u00a0be\u00a0cancelled.\u00a0Please bring rain gear and we will take\u00a0shelter\u00a0(under\u00a0a\u00a0bridge) until\u00a0any downpours let up. . In the event\u00a0of\u00a0heavy\u00a0rain\/strong\u00a0winds (e.g.,\u00a0typhoon conditions) or lightning then\u00a0the\u00a0event\u00a0will be cancelled (and usually moved to a different day).<\/p>\n
