1) Chichibu Hiking & Icicles of Ashigakubo<\/p>\n

On this hike, please make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes (not tennis shoes or sneakers which has the flat bottom). There is a higher chance that the ground might be frozen (due to the cold weather coming in this week). I appreciate for your understanding for safety reasons.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

(Participation Fee 1000 yen + 400 yen for Icicles of\u00a0Ashigakubo)(Intermediate Course)\u00a0(Cancelled in case of rain)<\/p>\n

Meeting Place\/Time:<\/strong>\u00a0 Ashigakubo Station ticket gate at 10:30 am<\/p>\n

Train<\/strong>: Trains are running infrequently and we can’t wait for the next train. \u00a0Please come to the meeting place on time since we won’t be able to attend to latecomers.<\/p>\n

From Ikebukuro, take the\u00a0Seibu Ikebukuro\u00a0(Express) Line’s 8:50 \u00a0train\u00a0and get off at\u00a0Hanno Station, arriving there at 9:37 . Change to the\u00a0Seibu Chichibu Line (across the platform), taking the 9:43 local train.\u00a0 This\u00a0arrives at\u00a0Ashigakubo at 10:27.<\/p>\n

Course<\/strong>:\u00a0 Ashigakubo\u00a0Station –\u00a0Oono Pass\u00a0– Mt. Maruyama (960m)\u00a0– Icicles\u00a0of Ashigakubo\u00a0\u00a0–\u00a0Ashigakubo\u00a0Station (Walking time: About\u00a05 hours)<\/p>\n

Take a look at the Icicles of Ashigakubo<\/a> (only this season):<\/p>\n

Please wear appropriate shoes for a hike and bring a\u00a0lunch to eat on the mountain, and plenty of liquids.<\/p>\n

2) Tamagawa River Clean Up<\/p>\n

Gather at Daishibashi Station: 13:00
\nRiver Clean Up: 13:30-16:30
\nRelaxing riverside: 16:30-17:00\u2028 Return to station.<\/p>\n

RIVER CLEAN UP:\u00a0Gather at DAISHIBASHI Station (Keikyudashi Line) outside the only ticket\u00a0gate at 13:00, and then go to the Tamagawa River and pick up trash along\u00a0the banks for about about 3-3.5 hours with a break in the middle.<\/p>\n

RAIN:\u2028 In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be\u00a0cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a\u00a0bridge) until any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain\/strong\u00a0winds (e.g., typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be\u00a0cancelled (and usually moved to a different day).<\/p>\n
