1) Discover, Explore, Enjoy Open Gardens in Kodaira (Easy)

Kodaira is promoting its abundance of nature and green environment. Let’s take a walk and enjoy the beauty of nature and communicate through nature.
☆The program is ¥1000.
☆Meeting Time/Place: 10:30AM at Seibu Haijima Line Higashi-yamatoshi Station ticket gate
☆Course: Higashi-yamatoshi Station – Morita Open Garden – Tamagawa – Josui Promenade Sewerage Museum – Shibayama Garden – Irori-no-sato – Takanodai Station
☆Walking Time: About 1.5 hours (about 6km) plus a lot of time for sightseeing so the walk should take about 2 hours.

2) Arakawa River Clean Up
Gather at Funabori Station: 13:00
Gather riverside: 13:30
River Clean Up: 13:00-17:30
RIVER CLEAN UP
Gather at FUNABORI Station (Shinjuku Line) outside the ticket gate at 13:00, and then go to the Arakawa River and pick up trash along the river bank for about about 3.5 to 4 hours.
ADDITIONAL INFO
If you come late, it will be about a 25-min walk to our location between the Shinjuku Line train bridge and the Kasaibashi Bridge. Also call James (the organizer) cell phone 090-1847-5075 if there are any problems finding us.
RAIN:
In the event of light or medium rain this event will NOT be cancelled. Please bring rain gear and we will take shelter (under a bridge) until any downpours let up. In the event of heavy rain/strong winds (e.g.,typhoon conditions) or lightning then the event will be cancelled (and usually moved to a different day). Let’s have fun enjoying our local nature while making it better at the
same time.
