Meet at the ticket gate at Sagamiko Station on Chuo Line (one stop past Takao) at 9:09 a.m.  From Shinjuku, take the JR Holiday Kaisoku departing at 8:14.  This train goes directly to Sagamiko Station, arriving at 9:09 a.m.

From Sagamiko Station, we’ll climb up to Myouou-toge, with good views of Lake Sagami along the way.  After lunch at Myouou-toge, we will go to Doudokoro-yama, which is not often visited, and return by an infrequently used back trail on the North Takao Ridge to the Daishita bus stop.  On parts of this hike you will really feel that “away from it all”!

The hike is rated “moderate” and the walking time is about 5 hours.
