Please bring whatever you want to eat for lunch, and drinks during the work project.

2) Part 1 River Clean Up
We will gather at Minami Sunamachi Station outside of EXIT 3 (after going through the Chiba side ticket gate) at 12:00noon. At about 12:10 we will walk about 10-12 minutes to the Arakawa River, and from about 12:30 we will begin picking up trash along the river bank heading in the direction of Tokyo Bay. Then, we will return to the bridge area for a picnic and a some play, e.g., frisbees, tossing some balls, etc.

Part 2 Picnic
From about 3:30 we will set up our picnic area and from about 4:00pm have an early dinner picnic next to the river while the sun is still out. All food and drinks will be provided for the picnic. Admission Y1,000 to cover the cost of food and drinks (+Y500 or Y1,500 for people drinking beer, wine or chuhai.) We should finish up between 5:00pm and 5:30pm.

If you will attend the picnic, PLEASE send a reservation directly to James by e-mail at yaesukita@gmail.com as he has to prepare the food and drinks for the number of people who will attend the event.

Bring gloves and appropriate shoes and clothing for the weather, generally older clothing that you don’t mind getting a little dirty. Rubber boots will not be needed for this river bank area as it is paved with most of trash right next to the paved area.

Let’s have fun enjoying our local nature while making it better at the same time. If you have any questions please message me and if there is any problem finding us on the day of the event call my cell phone 090*1847*5075. In the case of any significant rain this event will be cancelled. If any doubt, check this page on the morning of the event.
